Nov. Ballot

Orrville City Schools has created a dedicated Levy Information page to provide residents with clear, factual information about the 1% earned income tax issue that will appear on the November 2026 ballot.

The page includes information about the district’s financial outlook, what the proposed earned income tax would fund, how an earned income tax works, cost-saving measures already taken by the district, and frequently asked questions.

The proposed 1% earned income tax would be for five years and would support the district’s day-to-day operating expenses, including classroom staffing and instructional support, student services, transportation, student activities, utilities, educational materials, and other school operating costs.

An earned income tax applies to earned income such as wages, salaries, tips, and self-employment income. It does not apply to Social Security benefits, pensions or retirement income, interest, dividends, or other investment income.

We encourage residents to take a few minutes to review the information and learn more about the issue before Election Day.

Orrville City Schools will continue to provide factual information about district finances, operations, Board action, and the November 2026 ballot issue.
