Caysen Erwin, a Second Grade student at Orrville Elementary, was selected as Citizen of the Month. He is the son of Justin and Brittney. Caysen is being recognized under Mayor Plybon’s Good Citizen program to acknowledge that good character at school also makes a good citizen for the City of Orrville.
Mayor Plybon and Orrville Police Department Chief Seiler recognized Caysen in his classroom with OES Principal Mrs. Millsaps, Assistant Principal Miss Swejk, and his teacher, Mrs. Henderson, on January 30, 2024.
Mayor Plybon expressed admiration for Caysen’s good character and thanked him for being a good Orrville citizen. He presented Caysen with a special certificate as his classmates clapped to congratulate him.
An Orrville Elementary Citizen of the Month sign was also given to Caysen and his parents to be placed in their yard. It was a great day for Caysen!
Mrs.Henderson nominated Caysen by saying, “Caysen is an amazing example of what a character kid should be. Academically, he puts forth his best effort on all of his assignments, even when they can be challenging. He participates in class and adds great discussions to our classroom. Behaviorally, he is well-mannered, respectful and obeys rules. Socially, he has one of the biggest hearts. He is always asking how he can help. Many times this year, he has been caught helping others, without being asked or expecting recognition. Caysen is a great example of a character kid at OES!”
