The new Orrville High School building was completed in the spring of 2013. The building, built on the grounds of the previous high school building, houses a newly renovated auditorium, modern science classrooms and state-of-the art technology throughout. A larger student dining area and new Media Center allow students to maximize their opportunities.
In the fall of 2011, Orrville High School launched an exciting academic initiative. Through a partnership with the University of Akron/Wayne College and with the support of the Heartland Education Community, qualified OHS students have the opportunity to earn college credits while still in high school through participation in the College Academy. A unique feature of the College Academy is that students attend these college classes in the OHS building taught by OHS teachers who are qualified as adjunct professors. College Academy students can graduate with as many as 50 college credits.
We currently have approximately 500 students in grade 9-12 at Orrville High School. Juniors and seniors also have the opoportunity attend the Wayne County Schools Career Center.
