Orrville City Schools is proud to announce that Orrville High School senior Kyle Miller has been named a Semifinalist in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Kyle is among more than 16,000 academically talented high school seniors nationwide to earn Semifinalist recognition. Semifinalists represent less than 1% of U.S. high school seniors and are among the highest-scoring students in their respective states on the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

As a Semifinalist, Kyle now has the opportunity to advance to Finalist standing and compete for one of approximately 6,700 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $24 million that will be awarded in 2027. About 95% of Semifinalists are expected to advance to Finalist standing.

Being named a National Merit Semifinalist is an outstanding academic achievement and reflects Kyle's hard work, dedication, and academic excellence.

Congratulations, Kyle! Orrville City Schools is incredibly proud of you and wishes you the very best as you continue in the National Merit Scholarship competition.
