Middle School News
Please urge your students to continue to work hard and do their best in taking the tests. It is especially important on testing days that our students come to school on time, are well rested, and have had a healthy breakfast. Listed below are the dates of each test that the students will take.
Orrville PTO is once again selling Discount Cards through students at the Orrville Elementary and Middle Schools. The cards can be purchased for $10.00 each and are active starting June 1. This year we have added 23 new businesses to the card. Our goal is to sell 1500 cards. The money raised helps the PTO support our students, teachers, and schools.
The Grade 8 Class Trip is from Thursday, May 7- Saturday, May 9. All students attending the trip will need to report to the cafeteria at 6:30 am on Thursday. We will return back to OMS by 10:00 pm on Saturday. Students will be provided with a packet of information regarding the trip. If parents have any questions, please call Mrs. Troyer or Mr. Sovacool.
Our Grade 6 outdoor education camp will be held from May 13 -15, 2015. The students will arrive to school at the normal time and report to the cafeteria with their camp gear on May 13. They will return to school on Friday, May 15 around 1:45. Parents are able to greet their students off the bus, pick up their gear and then take them home when we return from camp.
Grade 7 will travel to Columbus on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. All students attending the trip must be ready to leave school by 7:45 am and we will return to school by 6:30 pm. Any questions, please contact Mr. Sovacool.
Attention Parents of Grade 6 students: The Ohio Department of Health released the immunization schedule for the 2015- 2016 school year. All students entering Grade 7 in 2015 must have a Tdap (tetanus-diptheria-pertussis) or Td booster vaccine prior to entry in August 2015. This requirement will most likely affect the majority of incoming Grade 7 students.
If your child has medication in the school's clinic, the medication must be picked up in the office by 3 P.M. on May 28. By state law, a parent or legal guardian must come to the school to pick up the medication. No medication can be sent home with the student. In accordance with Ohio law, any medication left at the school will be disposed of by the school nurse.
