Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

OMS is pleased to support Lion's Club's compassionate outreach. Please bring in gently used eye glasses or hearing aids which are no longer needed to share with others. There is a collection box in the main office.

Principals’ Message: It is hard to believe how fast the school year has gone! The middle school is a busy place as we are getting ready for the Ohio Achievement Assessments. Our students have been working very hard and we appreciate all of the parental and community support!

Positive Behavior Earns Prizes!
Orrville Middle School is implementing a new building wide positive incentive program based on our core values of respectfulness and responsibility. In this program, each student will start the nine weeks with 10 tickets. For each disciplinary consequence the student will lose a specific amount of tickets. Please refer to the ticket chart below for a breakdown.

NEWS FROM NURSE DAWN
All students entering 7th grade in 2012 must have the Tdap (tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis) booster vaccine prior to entry. A Tdap is given in order to prevent pertussis (whooping cough). When your child receives this immunization, please send a copy of the shot record to OMS. Until May 31st, it can also be faxed to OMS at 330-682-2743.

Kindergarten Registration and Screening
Registration and screening for youngsters who will be starting school in the Orrville City Schools 2013/2014 kindergarten class will be held in May. Students must be five years of age before August 1, 2013, in order to qualify for kindergarten enrollment.
