Subject: District Safety Update Orrville Families and Staff, We want to make you aware that our schools are currently operating under a soft lockdown as a precaution due to an incident that occurred outside of town and away from our school buildings. We were advised by law enforcement to take this precautionary step. At this time, classes are continuing as normal inside the buildings, and students are safe. During the soft lockdown, we are limiting outside access and movement as a precaution. No outdoor activities will take place until the soft lockdown is lifted. We will continue to follow the guidance of law enforcement and will provide updates as appropriate. Thank you for your understanding and support as we work to keep our students and staff safe. Sincerely, Dr. David M. Toth Superintendent Orrville City Schools

Orrville Schools and the State of Ohio now prohibit student use of cell phones within the school. All cell phones must be stowed in lockers or powered off during instructional hours. We appreciate your cooperation.
