Principal's Message
Dear OHS Students and Parents,
These are exciting days at Orrville High School! This summer, construction will begin on a new high school that will incorporate cutting edge technology, a new media center, computer labs, and classrooms. Part of the project will also include a renovated auditorium. Although the construction will present some challenges to our everyday work, it is a very exciting time.
We are also launching the College Academy, which is an initiative that will allow our OHS students to take college classes within our building. About 45 of our students have met the qualifications and will take anywhere from one to five college classes during their school day next year.
Our Red Rider students continue to excel in many areas including academics, the arts and athletics. Our Symphonic Choir continues a tradition of excellence, earning a “Superior” rating at the State Contest this year. Science students have an opportunity to participate in our award-winning Earth Science Club, including the “Trout in the Classroom” program. Art students regularly win recognition at local exhibits and shows. Red Rider athletes continue to perform at the highest level of state competition, which has led to a total of six state championship banners over the years.
A well-rounded education that prepares students for life as citizens and people of character continues to be the mission of Orrville High School. Thank you for visiting our website and Go Riders!
Sincerely,
Mr. Phil Hatton
